The Bathurst City and RSL Youth Band is being revived, giving budding young musicians the opportunity to further their talent.
It will be led by newly-appointed musical director Chris Dove.

Mr Dove said the band was experiencing diminishing numbers, seeing it shelved, but circumstances have changed and there is confidence that the band can prosper in 2022.
"Our goal is to revive the band and get it up and running again," he said.
"There's the opportunity now because some of the local schools are currently not running any concert bands, so this could be a great opportunity for them to join, especially after they left primary school and don't have an outlet in the high schools."
Primary and high school aged children who are learning an instrument are encouraged to join the band.
The concert band is suitable for those who play brass, woodwind and percussion instruments.
"For marching band, we have all marching band equipment, so marching drums and things like that," Mr Dove said.
Rehearsals will be held from 4.30pm to 6pm on Fridays, starting from February 11, in the Bathurst City and RSL Concert Band's rehearsal space in Walmer Park.
Parents interested in signing their children up can contact the band through its Facebook page.

As a former youth band member himself, Mr Dove can attest to how fun the experience will be.
"I really enjoyed it and I can still look back now and remember how fun it was. I'm actually really excited to take on the role as musical director for that reason," he said.
There should be some exciting performance opportunities throughout the year.
"At this stage we're looking forward to Anzac Day. Hopefully we can be marching down the street and making a racket, which will be really fun," Mr Dove said.
