A member of Bathurst Merino Association, John Osborne said he and other farmer members went to the area last week to cut strainer posts.
They will be back in the vicinity of Martin Bird Lane from 8am today to carry out follow-up work after loading boundary fence lines for erection.
"Anyone who would like to lend a hand will be welcome," Mr Osborne said yesterday. "They only have to turn up, bring their work gloves and strong pair of boots.
"We will take our lunch and a thermos and have water. But everyone will generally provide for their own needs." Mr Osborne said the fencing group could be found by following Cashens Lane right from the highway at Vittoria.
They should go to a "y" intersection along Martin Bird Road, across a ramp, turning right near a gate and cut fence line into a paddock heading in the direction of Macquarie Woods following a crown to the east.
