The store, located in the former Dick Smith site in Bathurst City Centre, will open to the public at 9am this Thursday.
“This is the first JB Hi-Fi small footprint store and if it works it’ll come to more regional locations,” Bathurst store manager Sarah Le Fevre said.
She said while the former Bathurst Dick Smith store might be smaller than what JB Hi-Fi would usually take on, it will have a huge range of items for all members of the family.
There will be a small appliances department, movies, music, fitness, telecommunications, Apple products, cameras, games, computers, visual and televisions, home audio, wireless and portable audio.
“We have specialist ranges in the mobile department. We have Telstra services just like the Telstra shop and mobile phones, home internet plans and Foxtel,” Ms Le Fevre said.
The store will also feature the latest drone and fitness technology equipment.
The televisions will range in size from 22 inches to 75 inches.
Ms Le Fevre said the Bathurst store’s vinyl album section will be aimed at music lovers of all ages and tastes.

“Vinyl is coming back and we’ll also [keep in] range the vinyl players to suit those,” she said.
Not only will classic albums be available on vinyl at JB Hi-Fi, Ms Le Fevre said the store will also stock new-release albums and can special order others in for customers.
The store’s 35 staff, employed from the more than 600 applicants, have undertaken intensive product training in readiness for opening day.
“Come in and check out the range, there’s something for the whole house in one shop,” Ms Le Fevre said.
“It’s for people from all ages – from kids to parents and grandparents.”
News that the retailer was moving into Bathurst created a rush of excitement by Western Advocate readers with many excited about the range of stock and technology that will be available.
