NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Bathurst MP Paul Toole visited the cottage on Wednesday to meet with patients, carers, doctors and volunteers.
She said the funding would be used to help make life as comfortable as possible for patients as they undergo treatment.
“When patients start treatment at Daffodil Cottage they are given kits with products to try and ease the side effects of the often aggressive treatments and this money will be used to help provide a few little extras that can assist patients undergoing chemotherapy,” Ms Berejiklian said.
“I’d also like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to and thank all the wonderful doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers at Daffodil Cottage.
“It takes a special person to do the work they do and their generosity and dedication to the community is inspiring.”

Mr Toole said Daffodil Cottage was more than just a treatment facility and was a much loved part of the community.
“Cancer is a terrible disease, but having a place like Daffodil Cottage where patients and carers can not only be treated locally, but access services like dietitians, social workers, occupational therapists, as well as volunteers willing to lend a shoulder for support and an ear, really does reduce some of the stress,” he said.
Established in 1997, Daffodil Cottage allows patients to undergo cancer treatment locally, as well as access support services, including the Daffodil Cancer Cottage Wig Library.
In 2016, the cottage doubled the number of treatment chairs from five to 10, with the local community raising more than $600,000 for the project and the NSW Government contributing $150,000.
