Mr Perri estimates the wind was somewhere between 80-100km an hour when the corrugated iron roof went flying.
Mid flight one piece of iron sheeting hit a coach parked on the property, shattering the glass, other pieces were caught in near by trees.
“There was this massive gust of wind and the next thing I knew the roof just lifted.
“It [the wind] came straight through the paddock.
“The wind was howling, there was a massive ripping sound and the next thing I knew a chunk of tin his the bus.
“It took the whole lot clean off,” he said.
The SES arrived at the property late Sunday evening to tarp the roof of the shed.
SES Regional Controller, Craig Ronan, said Sunday’s call out was the only call the SES received over the weekend.
“I was a bit surprised [we didn’t get more calls] given the wind we’ve had here,” he said.
In the CBD, wild winds also caused havoc shredding Bathurst Regional Council’s Job Expo banner, which hung across William Street.
