WEEK four of your preparation program for the Edgell Jog.
HEY joggers! How did you handle this week’s set new goal? Did you go the distance?
Remember, every second counts as a win, even if it is just one or two at best. It’s still a win. So make sure you keep at it.
As we move into the fourth week of the 7POINT5 Program, let’s turn up the heat and add that extra edge to our training sessions. I’m talking about group fitness.

Not only are group classes energetic and motivating, they offer a variety of benefits you might miss out on if you choose to work out on your own.
Some of the benefits include exposure to a social, fun environment, a safe and effectively designed workout, a consistent exercise schedule, an accountability factor for participating in exercise, and a workout that requires no prior exercise knowledge or experience.
A common reason given for quitting an exercise program is boredom.
A variety of class formats will keep you motivated and interested, as well as give you different instructor styles, music selection, and interaction with other participants.
For many, an hour-long workout goes by very quickly when there is music playing and you are trying new exercises.
People stay interested because of the social atmosphere provided by group exercise.
Many people quit an exercise program because of time constraints. Participating in group exercise may help overcome this obstacle.
Cityfit offers 30- and 45-minute classes for individuals with limited time – all appropriately designed with a warm-up, cool-down and flexibility in addition to the conditioning section.
In addition, with over 60 group fitness classes, the consistency in scheduling allows participants to choose a time and schedule it in their planner as they do other daily activities.
So give your training that extra edge and be part of a Cityfit group fitness session.
