But as he looks to find success in the final round of the Australian V8 Touring Car Series at the new venue, the Bathurst driver has been given a helping hand from a big name driver.
Former Supercars champion and two-time Bathurst 1000 winner Rick Kelly spent time behind the wheel of Anderson’s Ford Falcon during a test day at the track last Thursday.
He was more than happy to offer Anderson tips on how to best set up his car.
“Rick Kelly ended up having a run in my car down there. That was pretty cool just to get a bit of a different opinion on what we’d done to the car,” Anderson said.
“It's a very European sort of set up the way they've done the track with the amount of corners and undulations. Some of the corners are really fast, some of them are very slow and technical.

“It makes it a little bit more difficult to try and get a set-up that is going to work on 100 percent of the track.
“[So] It was very insightful to have Rick in the car and it was something different, I've never actually seen the car run without me in it.
“It was good getting a second opinion, especially from someone who knows what they're doing.
“He was really good, as soon as I hopped out of the car he came and spoke to me with another engineer. We sat down and spoke about what I thought of the car.
"Then he hopped in and after he got out of the car, he had a chat to me.
“We both compared our thoughts after each session and we both were sort of saying the same thing about what the car needed.”
