We have been at this program for seven weeks now, so the starting line is almost in arm’s reach.
In our seventh week of Cityfit’s 7POINT5 Program, we again have our three regular sessions, although we do increase the distance to the final seven kilometres.

You may be thinking that’s a lot of kilometres to complete this week and next week.
Not to worry, next week we step it back.
For this week only, we complete our three sessions of seven kilometres.
This is where we utilise the past six weeks of hard, strong training and set it to the test over three sessions.
As I said before, don’t worry about the final week, we take it down a notch in preparation for the 7.5 kilometre distance set for the jog.
This week is about maximising your endurance and speed.
With all this preparation in mind, remember to keep stretching after every session.
With all this effort applied to your training, you wouldn’t want to be all tight and sore just before or on the big day.

Early start
THE Edgell Jog will start earlier this year to try to avoid the event dominating people’s days.
The jog will kick off at 9.30am, rather than 10.30am, so it does not clash with other weekend sport or affect people who have made plans for lunch.
Entries are being taken online at $30 for an adult and $50 for a family and all those who enter online before 3pm on Friday, September 21 will go into the draw for the early bird prize of $300.
The 43rd Edgell Jog will be held on Sunday, September 23.
