The Bathurst pair found themselves down early in both their semi-final and grand final contests but found a way to get back into each match.
The Fullers took down home city hopes Jay Kross and Jeff Wyatt 8-18, 15-13 and 14-8.
The Bathurst duo managed to go one place better than their previous appearance at Parkes back in April.
Playing alongside his son, let alone winning the tournament, is a feeling Dave Fuller savours.
“To be able to play with your son in these events and be competitive is just magic,” he said.
“We combine very well. We played very different games. I can’t hit the ball as hard as he does but you can get away with that a little bit in doubles.”
The Parkes tournament consisted of three pools, with the Fullers finishing at the top of theirs.
From there they completed their memorable double-up comeback efforts.
“It was really close in the final. There was nothing in it,” Dave Fuller said.
“Nathan and I have had success before in Crookwell, and we have that coming up in a few weeks’ time on the 7th and 8th.
“We’ll be trying to defend our title there. That competition seems to keep getting stronger but that’s a good thing.”
It’s been a great year for Dave Fuller who won his age group at September’s Australian Squash Masters.
