St Joseph’s School student Georgia Pincott donated the hair to create a wig for someone in need and to raise funds for Cancer Council and the World’s Greatest Shave.
Georgia participated in the Relay for Life in Oberon last Saturday and took centre stage in the afternoon, losing her locks and raising more than $1400 in a week.
And her reason for cutting? “Because if I lost all my hair, I would want someone to cut their hair for me,” Georgia said.
With the support of her school, teachers and community, Georgia now sports a lovely new haircut and was excited to hand over her hair to create a wig for another little girl.
