Band members Jake Parker and Ben Howle will be leaving Bathurst in 2019, after finishing up their Higher School Certificate studies and while fellow band members Jackson Howle, Tom Rodham and Luke Furbank will remain in town, the band has decided to finish up.
Despite seeming like the end of a chapter, the band is still keen on gigging whenever they are all in town.
Parker, who is moving to Wollongong for university, said it’s sad that the band’s time is coming to an end.
“It’s been almost three years together. It’s a bit sad but life must go on,” he said.
“We’ll try and get back together, especially for the Fish River Festival. We’ve done the past few, so we want to keep that tradition up.”
Crimson Royale released its debut album A Year in a Minute back in July, at the Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre.
The band first came to prominence after winning the Battle of the Band competition at the 2017 Bathurst and District Relay for Life.
After winning the competition, the band recorded its first single – Drive Me Crazy.
Now fans have the opportunity to farewell Crimson Royale, with the gig to be played at Tom Rodham’s house.
