There is failure among our leaders as exhibited by the banks and Cricket Australia, but surely we are also collectively at fault for allowing it to happen.

It isn't just a moral and ethical decline among others we are seeing, but there is also a decline in our collective commitment to defending ourselves and our long-established rights and freedoms.
We also appear to have traded a tradition for 'civitas' and working for others for an expectation that "things" will be done for us, not by us.
I take umbrage, though, at the RSL being lumped in with the banks.
It was the few at the top who lost their way, not the grass roots organisation that continues to do great work at local levels.
The good news is that the broader membership, once roused, is now taking a closer look at what is being done in its name.
