Dorothy and Warren Muldoon were married at the St Michael’s and St John’s Catholic Cathedral almost 61 years ago on April 19, 1958.
They were both 19-years-old when they were wed and have since had four children, nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
“We’ve kept very active over the years,” Ms Muldoon said.
“We were definitely busy for the first 20 years with the children. We had two sons who went to Stannies and two daughters who went to MacKillop.
“You kind of wonder where all the years went.”
After going out on their first date, Mr Muldoon realised that this was the girl he wanted to marry, proposing when he dropped her home.
I love her as much as the first time I met her.

She laughed, said no, but Mr Muldoon was persistent and it paid off, she eventually saying, ‘Yes’.
“I love her as much as the first time I met her,” he said.
Before they retired, Mr Muldoon was a builder, while Ms Muldoon worked at California Production.
Since retiring, they’ve enjoyed travelling across Australia and going on cruises throughout the Pacific.
