Rugby had the Saints in trouble during the first week of play before a Pat’s middle order century stand got them to 6-203 at day’s end.
Pat’s are likely to head back out and seek quick runs, but as for how long they will do so Rugby captain Sam Macpherson isn’t 100 per cent certain.
“We're not exactly sure what their plan will be on Saturday, but I dare say we'll find out in the first few overs. And we will have a plan for that set in place,” he said.
“With the bat, it will be patience and building partnerships that can win us the game.”

Those back-to-back partnerships were crucial in Rugby’s opening round win over Pat’s.
Rain led to a slow outfield during last week’s opening day of play and it led to an easy decision for Rugby Union when they won the toss in the grand final rematch.
After this week’s hot weather producing a much drier outfield it’s looking like a brilliant toss to win but there’s still plenty of work for Rugby’s bowlers to do against the resuming Josh Willcox (17) and David Cant (10).
Aiden McBurney resumes the match as Rugby’s leading bowler at 3-55.
The two clubs sit at an even head-to-head this season after Rugby won the one-day clash before the Saints hit back in Twenty20.
