Considered to be a genuine swap meet, many people who visit can find the things they’ve been searching for to complete their projects or simply find new items they never knew they needed.
Swap meet committee member Ted Reedy said the event, which will be held on February 3, attracted 1800 people last year.
“I think it is a success because it appeals to enthusiasts, those people who are enthusiastic about cars, motorcycles and machinery,” he said.
It has also proven to be a low-cost and effective way to sell things.

The swap meet is held at the showground, with indoor sites costing stallholders $40, while outdoors sites are free.
They can access the site from 3pm on Saturday, February to set up, with gates then opening to the public at 6am the following morning.
“[Stallholders] are lined up right up the street to get in for the best spot,” Mr Reedy said.
Admission is $5 per person for the general public on the day of the swap meet.
Mr Reedy said the event is the club’s major fundraiser that covers its operating costs for the year and allows it to donate to charitable groups.
He said the swap meet will be a great day and he hopes to see a crowd.
“It’s a lot of fun, particularly for those of us who are enthusiasts for cars and so on, not just for buying, but also swapping stories. It’s a real social event,” Mr Reedy said.
