With the scores locked at nil-all at the break and with no goal scored with minutes remaining in the grand final of the inaugural Eglinton 7-a-side tournament, it seemed the match between The Odd Bunch and Abercrombie was headed to extra-time.

However, after plenty of missed opportunities from both sides, The Odd Bunch snagged a late winner through James Ricketts.
Having finished the regular season on top of the ladder, it seemed fitting that the best team, in term of statistics, won the inaugural competition, organised by Eglinton DFC.
Abercrombie had their chances, the post denying them on several occasions, but it wouldn't be their day.
Eglinton president Matt Markwick said the tournament was hugely successful.
"The Eglinton summer 7-a-side competition was a great opportunity for players to have fun, be part of a team and continue playing football after the winter season had ended," he said.
"It was great to see players and teams from all clubs and of all abilities, come and enjoy football in a fun, social manner.
"We hope to have more teams and players participate in the competition next year.
"A big thank you has to go to those who participated and hopefully we see them back next year."
Over 80 players participated in the mixed-competition played on Tuesday nights, with the first round played at St Stanislaus' College before the remainder of games were played down at Police Paddock.
Eight teams were registered, with players sourced from clubs such as Eglinton, Macquarie United, Abercrombie, Bathurst '75, Bathurst Athletic and Western NSW Mariners.
