BCCAN has declared their support for the Extinction Rebellion movement, a socio-political group campaigning for governments across the globe to adopt a more serious approach to climate change.
"We share many core values with the Extinction Rebellion group, who are calling for governments to start paying more attention to the facts surrounding climate change," BCCAN president Jack Fry said.
"I encourage anyone to do their own peer-reviewed research and talk to experts before they forge their own views on the matter."
The movement is advocating for the three tiers of government to tell the truth about the planet's ecological crisis and push for the reduction of carbon emissions to net zero by 2025.
"This movement is about promoting factual science." Mr Fry said.
