And that's because she'd been through it all before - nine years ago, in fact.
"I loved it so much, I'm doing it again," she said before submitting to the clippers.
Ms Burnett lost her hair for the World's Greatest Shave, which raises money for the Leukaemia Foundation's research into blood cancer and support for those suffering from it.
"I have two little boys that I would really like to be a good role model for," she said in explaining her motivation.
As well, she said, most people get touched by cancer in some way - whether as a sufferer or in having someone close to them affected by the disease.

Ms Burnett, who is a member of staff at the Seymour Centre, had a fundraising goal of $1000 for her head shave and was close to that target on Thursday morning before donations were collected from the crowd.
"But I would like to smash it, not just reach the goal," she said.
Seymour Centre CEO Terisa Ashworth said Ms Burnett is a valued member of staff who "always gets involved in fundraising".
