Bathurst Regional Council's latest reading, taken on March 26, found that the dam had dropped slightly from 46.1 to 45.5 per cent in the span of a week.
That was despite nearly 40 millimetres of rain falling in Bathurst since March 17.
However, more rain is on the way, with Friday and Saturday set to produce as much as 30 millimetres.
Weatherzone has reported a 90 per cent chance of between 10mm and 20mm of rain on Friday.
Its forecast for Saturday is less than one 1mm, but the Bureau of Meteorology has reported a 90 per cent chance of between 3mm and 10mm.
Bathurst needs 13.3mm to reach the long-term average rainfall figure for March, which is 51.4mm.
