Only problem is that an undefeated Orange CYMS stand in their way this Saturday at Bathurst's Bob Roach Field.
Still, Souths won't mind heading into the home clash as underdogs, and they've showed glimpses of brilliance in the early stages of this season.
Coach Chris Stafford knows CYMS will front a completely different structure to what Lithgow Zig Zag did last round but is confident his team can adapt to the change.
"It wasn't a real free flowing game, not as much as I think Saturday's game will be," he said.
"Obviously Orange CYMS are a completely different opposition to Zig Zag - being at opposite ends of the table - but that's something that can help our girls. I can't really see CYMS playing the 11 behind the ball in defence, which means there's more room for everyone to move around."

The 3-0 win for Souths against Zig Zag last round is a hard one to gauge much from, according to Stafford, given that his team didn't really have a chance to build up rhythm in attack.
Souths will get some welcome returns to their lineup this Saturday against one of the competition's leading clubs.
"We played Panthers the other week but haven't played Orange CYMS or Pat's yet. They're all the top sides at the moment so it will be good this weekend to see how we're tracking," Stafford said.
"Danielle Fisher was there last week but didn't take to the field due to a calf injury. She's back in the starting side. Charlize Fitzpatrick also comes into the team.
Souths play host to CYMS on Bob Roach Field from 3.15pm.
