IF there was one big lesson for Bathurst City to take out of last Saturday's women's Premier League Hockey match then it was not to lose the intensity in the latter stages.

City will put that into practice this Saturday when they travel to play Orange Ex-Services, a team also stuck on four points and just as determined to stay in touch with the competition's top three.
The Bathurst women's were right in the mix with St Pat's during last round's derby game until two late goals got the Saints home.
Those minor slip ups have been a recurring feature for City who have otherwise played a level of hockey not far away from the top teams in the competition.
City player-coach Lisa Quinn expects a great contest at Orange this Saturday.
"These are the games you need to win when you're playing teams of an equal level," she said.
"We've only got four points on the board, as do they, so I expect it's going to be a tight match. They'll be fighting hard for the points as well."
The start of the season hasn't being easy going for the City women, and the same can be said for Ex Services.

City's single victory of the same came before the latest round where they found a 3-0 win over Lithgow Zig Zag.
It shapes up as a winnable match for both clubs as they attempt to keep pace with Lithgow Panthers, Orange CYMS (16 points) and St Pat's (12 points).
"It was nil-all up until the third quarter so there will be a focus on maintaining our intensity for the full 60 minutes," Quinn said of the Pat's game.
"We need to ensure there's no lapses in concentration.
"It's always tough playing Ex Services in Orange. They would, I imagine, have a full strength side at home and they've got a couple of players who like to dominate the middle.
"The turf's always bouncy and you never know if you'll get a clean or a rough game but we'll be focusing on ourselves and taking one step forward at a time."
Quinn said Kirsten Howard and Bec Bosianek will be the players City will rally around in the midfield and in attack respectively.
The match starts from 3.20pm.
