WITH a six-point lead on top of the ladder Bathurst Bulldogs have one hand on the Blowes Clothing Cup minor premiership, but skipper Peter Fitzsimmons knows it is not yet job done.

After falling to Orange Emus in last year's grand final, Bathurst Bulldogs have been working hard to ensure 2019 does not end in the same sort of bitter disappointment.
That hard work has helped Bulldogs to a 10 and one record through 11 rounds, a bonus-point from each game they have played and a points differential that is almost 200 better than any of their rivals.
With four rounds remaining Bulldogs are favourites for the minor premiership, but Fitzsimmons sees currently second placed Orange Emus and the third placed Cowra Eagles as threats.

It means he and his fellow Bulldogs must maintain their efforts both on the training paddock and when they do battle on Saturday afternoons.
"It's really important just to refine what we've been doing since the start of the season and get the job done going into the finals," he said.
"We've got a pretty heavy run into the finals with Emus and Cowra in that run, so we just have to stick to what we've been doing and make that better and better.
"We are out in front, we'd like to keep out in front. But again it will just be down to hard work and getting the job done."
The Bulldogs will meet Orange City at Pride Park this Saturday.
