When Souths downed CYMS 2-1 in round five, it snapped a four-game winning streak for the Orange outfit.
CYMS has only lost once since then, while Souths is locked in a three-way battle for fourth with Bathurst City and Confederates.
But Griffiths feels she and her team-mates have been playing some good hockey and CYMS will view them as a threat.
"I think having knocked them off the last game, we played very well against them, I think we controlled the who game too. It wasn't one of those games where we stayed in it and got the last lucky goal, I think we actually dominated," Griffiths said.
"I think, knowing [CYMS coach] Pete Shea as well, that will be in the back of their minds knowing the type of hockey we can produce and the type of players we have in our team. They know we've got players like Soph McCauley ... when she's on fire she's quite unstoppable.
"I think they potentially look at us as a bit of a bogey team. Looking at the ladder this should be a game where they get a good win, but I think they know they're going to get a good contest."

Just as upsetting Orange CYMS is a motivator for Souths, so too is trying to climb the ladder.
While they have the same amount of competition points as Bathurst City and Feds, goal difference has Souths sitting in sixth.
With games against Feds and St Pat's to come a loss this Saturday would not make their task of qualifying for finals impossible, but it would be a whole lot tougher.
"We are comfortable in the hockey we are playing and that is what we are focusing on and hopefully the results do what they need to do. We are not in a bad spot to try and hit that last place in the semis," Griffiths said.
"That four points we lost, if that was put aside I think we'd be quite comfortable in outright fourth, but in saying that, we are not hung about that. We are playing each and every game as it comes to us."
Souths will face off with CYMS from 1.55pm in Orange.
