While not dismissing our representative's personal views, opinion and position on this difficult topic, it remains that these should be secondary to those of his constituents, as his role is to be our representative.
It was refreshing and Member for Orange Phil Donato should be congratulated for his approach in Orange where he is actively seeking the views of his constituents and encouraging them to contact him to express those views.
IN OTHER NEWS AROUND BATHURST:
From his interviews it is clear that he is keen to ensure that he represents and not simply acts on his personal view, whatever that may be.
That is the role of the representative, and Mr Toole's vote on this (and any matter really) should be primarily based on the views of us, his constituents, being those that he represents.
