The house on Cooper Crescent was left severely damaged after the fire, with the contents all but destroyed.
It has left Emily Holder and her four children with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
Ms Holder's close friend Mandy O'Dea started a GoFundMe page on Tuesday night and she said the support from the Bathurst community has been amazing.
"I'm taking all donations at my place," Ms O'Dea said.
"People have been coming all [Wednesday] afternoon and it's been really amazing to see the things people have brought over.
"We've received everything from toothpaste, school clothes, linen, electronics and shoes.
"If you look around at your house and you see something, they don't have it. They've got nothing."
Housing NSW have provided a motel for Ms Holder and her four children for seven days.
Ms O'Dea said her friend has been through "hell and back" in recent years.
"On Tuesday it was the anniversary of the day they buried her father and she's gone through some pretty tough times in recent years, but she's built herself back up," she said.
"Now what has happened is devastating."
Ms O'Dea said support has come from beyond Bathurst.
"Katrina from Wallerawang, I don't know her last name, but she brought Emily and the children clothes from Best and Lest and dropped them off, not knowing anyone," she said.
"We've got people dropping off shelves, beds and a couch.
"Panorama Mini-Market also gave them a box of unopened toys and Kelso Public School - the school where two of Emily's kids go - have organised school uniforms for them."
Ms O'Dea said the only thing Ms Holder managed to save was her car keys, however they were melted.
Nothing else was salvaged, however, the trampoline in the backyard remained undamaged.
Unfortunately a cat's life was lost in the fire.
If anyone would like to donate any items to Emily Holder and her family, text Ms O'Dea on 0413 070 157 and an address will be provided.

As of Wednesday afternoon, $1,190 had been donated to the cause, with $5000 the goal.
