The Australasian Mining History Association will receive up to $2000 in assistance from council to support the group's annual conference.
The conference will be held in 2020, with the group anticipating to have between 50 and 60 people attend.
AMHA requested that council waive the venue hire and staffing fees for Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre, as well as a mayoral reception.
The total cost would have been just short of $4500, but council was not prepared to weather all of the costs.
A similar conference was held at BMEC in October, 2018, with council resolving to provide $2000 towards it.
It was recommended that council provide equivalent assistance and that was what councillors voted to do.
Meanwhile, the Bathurst Light Car Club (BLCC) will receive up to $5000 assistance from council to support the 2019 Australian Hill Climb Championships at Mount Panorama.
In return for financial assistance, council would get the benefit of promotion of the Bathurst region to competitors and their supporters.
"BLCC can offer Bathurst Regional Council brand exposure in the marketing and promotion of the 2019 Hill Climb Championship providing opportunities to promote the Bathurst region over the event weekend," the club said in it's submission.
Two groups missed out on financial assistance, with councillors sticking with the recommendations from the director of Corporate Services and Finance.
Council received a request to waive the hall hire fees for Galloping Gumnuts Playgroup's use of the Kelso Community Hub.
The request was rejected on the grounds that other groups manage to pay the same subsidised fee that was charged for the playgroup to use the hall.
Bathurst Arts Council's request for funding was also denied, given that council had already provided the group with $2000 under it's Section 356 Donations program for another event.
