A BATHURST man has died in an early morning truck crash on the Pacific Highway on the state's north coast.

Police have confirmed the deceased truck driver was a 36-year-old man from Bathurst, but have not formally identified him or released his name.
However, a number of tributes to the truck driver have been posted on Facebook this morning by people working in the state's trucking industry.

Investigations are now under way into the cause of the crash near Nambucca Heads involving two B-doubles.
Police said one of the B-doubles was parked in a designated stopping bay on the northbound side of the highway prior to the crash about 5am on Wednesday.
The driver of the moving truck died at the scene while the driver from the parked truck was not hurt.
