The Connex Vital Signs Monitor allows accurate assessment of temperature, blood pressure, heart rate and oxygen saturation levels in the paediatric setting.
The monitor was donated in conjunction with the Humpty Dumpty Donation and Coates Hire, at the value of $6200.
Bathurst Hospital director of nursing and midwifery services Tracy Wittich said the new monitor will be vital when caring for patients.
"This machine can monitor anyone who's receiving treatment," she said.
"It's non-invasive, so there's no need to be afraid for kids using it.
"We can't thank Humpty Dumpty enough. They've been great supporters with the Bathurst Hospital and they help keep children in Bathurst for treatment, meaning they don't have to go to Sydney."
Without the device, Ms Wittich said nurses would have to use several methods to record different stats, but with having the monitor, it makes everything easier.
"We do have two to three of these devices in the paediatrics ward," she said.
"We also want to thank Coates Hires. Their donation is very valuable."
Coates Hire chief financial officer Paul Brittain said Coates Hires is glad to make an input to the hospital.
"We've been really strong supporters of the Humpty Dumpty Foundation and we're glad we can input and see it put into place," he said.
To date, Humpty Dumpty has raised over $70 milliion and in 2018, Humpty purchased close to 420 pieces of medical equipment for paediatric wards, neonatal units, maternity and emergency departments.
In NSW, the Humpty Dumpty Foundation is the largest supplier of children's medical equipment, behind the State Government, working hard with the community to ensure other states and territories have the equipment they need.
The charity relies heavily on the generosity of corporate and community donors who participate in Humpty Dumpty fundraising initiatives including the Good Egg Lunch, Balmoral Burn, City2Surf and the Great Humpty Ball.
