The artificial lure was eventually fixed and racing finally begun, but at a delayed scheduled.
Across the 11 official races, Lyne said Dana King - who was backed at $12 odds - impressed him the most in the Fifty8george Stakes (450 metres).
"Dana King came from back in the field and showed real strength to get the win," he said.
Dana King, trained by Cowra's Rodney McDonald, finished ahead of second favourite Stylax ($3.20) and favourite Miami Sioux ($2).
McDonald enjoyed more success two races later when Tony's Rescue ($8.50) finishing ahead of hot favourite Highly Effective ($1.35) in the Soldiers Saddle In 4 Weeks Stakes (520 metres).
