As part of next year's Seniors Festival, the Volunteering for Seniors Expo will be held at Bathurst Memorial Entertainment Centre and feature a range of exhibitors.
The expo is a joint project being organised by the Combined Pensioners and Superannuants Association (CPSA), Bathurst Seymour Centre and the Neighbourhood Centre.
CPSA president John Hollis said that the expo is in line with a key part of the Bathurst Regional Council Community Strategic Plan 2040, which is to maintain the health and wellbeing of retired senior and disabled members of the community.

Around 30 organisations that utilise volunteers have already accepted invitations to be exhibitors at the event.
The Neighbourhood Centre's volunteer engagement officer Rebecca Wilson said volunteers play a vital role in many organisations and it was important to engage more people to fill positions.
"Without volunteering, especially in NSW, a lot of services couldn't be delivered," she said.
"We rely heavily on volunteering and the whole culture of volunteering, especially in Bathurst.
"So the expo is about really showcasing a lot of the volunteer organisations that function and deliver great services across Bathurst and then as part of that we will have other important information that will be distributed and accessed on the day."
As seniors are quite often in a position to take on volunteer roles, they are encouraged to come along to the expo to find out about the broad range of opportunities there are locally.
However, other people looking to volunteer, regardless of their age, are also invited to attend.
"It means then that people can talk to the services and really get a feel for what they offer, what might be expected of them in their roles," Ms Wilson said.
"It's hard to find 30-plus organisations in one location where you can really find out what they can offer."
The expo will be held from 9am to 12pm on Wednesday, February 19.
