It is because on Wednesday the Bathurst talent and his team-mates face a New South Wales Metro outfit which has suffered just one loss over six rounds in Perth.
ACT-NSW Country posted three wins through its six pool games to book its spot in the semi-finals, with Broes' form playing an important role in seeing them advance.
Broes sits seventh on the leading run-scorers' list for the tournament, having scored 239 at an average of 47.8. He has also hit more boundaries - 24 - than all but one other player.
It was a slow start to the tournament for both Broes and his side as they lost their opening two games to Victoria Metro and Victoria Country. The opening batsman made scores of seven and 19.
But Broes, who is playing his club cricket in Canberra this season, turned things around as ACT-NSW Country won three of its remaining four pool games.
He hit 34 off 48 against Western Australia, scored at a run-a-ball when making 86 against Tasmania, then backed that up with 50 in a 139-run opening wicket stand with Will Ford (119) to set up victory over Northern Territory.
While Broes' side fell to Queensland by three wickets on Monday, he still hit a handy 43 off 68.
Meanwhile, another Bathurst talent, Lisa Griffith, has shown good touch with the bat as well.
Making her return to the Sydney Women's Premier Cricket competition on Sunday, Griffith helped Penrith to a thrilling one-wicket win over Gordon.
Having taken 1-37 from 10 overs as her side fielded first in the 50-overs contest, Griffith then opened the batting.
They required 216 for victory, Griffith scoring 40 of those. She cracked seven boundaries from the 57 deliveries she faced before being caught out. At that stage it was 2-82.
Penrith went on to win by one wicket with 4.1 overs remaining, Bathurst young gun Amy Kreuzberger one of the not out players.
