Bathurst Seymour Centre has started a new program called Café 55, which runs on the third Saturday of every month.
CEO Terisa Ashworth said the program was trialled in October and, after its success, has become a permanent event on the calendar.
Café 55 will be held again on December 21, starting at 10am at the Seymour Centre.
"It's a chance for people who are carers and the person who they care for that has some kind of cognitive decline, to have an enjoyable morning together," Ms Ashworth said.
"This is a chance for them to go and have that cafe experience together in a really friendly and welcoming environment."

Catering at the event is provided by the Country Women's Association (CWA) and there will be live music available.
"As well as chatting to other people and enjoying the lovely food, they can listen and relax to the entertainment," Ms Ashworth said.
Students from Bathurst schools are also helping to run the program, by working in the kitchen and chatting to guests.
