The raffle has seen 15 local businesses get involved to contribute to a major prize worth $1500 [$100 gift voucher from each participating store].
To kickstart the fundraiser, five participating businesses [Gorgeousness, Gorgeousness Home, Dejorja, Bake, Table and Tea and Easy Living Footwear] donated $2500 [$500 each].
Gorgeousness owner Bron Aberley said the proceeds will go towards Lifeline Central West's Rapid Community Support Program in the NSW South Coast.
"We just wanted to show that we're serious about assisting people who have lost so much over the fire season," Ms Aberley said.
"We've sold around 600 tickets already, and we're hoping to raise around $10,000 for the cause."
The tickets cost $5 each and in addition to the aforementioned businesses, raffle entries are being accepted at Eve, Sunday Thistle, Bent Threads, LaMode, Red Chair Boutique, Jack Holman Menswear, Carillon Clothing, Cheekii Kidz, Your Total Image Hairdresser and Legall Patisserie.
Legall Patisserie will match the funds raised from their raffle tin.
Bake Table and Tea owner Mel Kelly said the raffle has received an impressive response at such short notice.
"We started the fundraiser three weeks ago with 11 businesses on board, and it was fantastic to see a further four join up to build on the grand prize," Ms Kelly said.
"In addition, we received $500 in cash from an anonymous donor, which is a fine example of this community's generosity."
The raffle will run until Sunday, with a winner to be drawn next week.
