POLICE are calling for information from the public following the theft of thousands of litres of water.

Officers attached to the NSW Police rural crime division say the theft occurred between February 4 and 5.
"Police from Bathurst are investigating the theft of around 15 thousand litres of water from a tank on a rural property on the O'Connell Road, O'Connell," officers said.
"The offender/s stole the water along with a valve from the tank which is a header type tank."
Officers have called on anyone with information to contact Bathurst Police Station on 6332 8699 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
