In 2018, our own vehicle was T-boned at this same roundabout, and since then, barely a week goes by without us noting further evidence of yet another serious collision - glass, impact debris, fluid spilt on the road and damage to nearby lightpoles.

While this morning's incident thankfully didn't result in any serious injuries, at least one of the vehicles involved will surely be written off, and the evidence proves that it is a very dangerous roundabout for all road users.
The accident history and evidence cannot be ignored and it's long overdue for Bathurst Regional Council to acknowledge that something needs to be done to improve safety at this location, and then act on it.
