With thousands of people set to descend on Bathurst this weekend for the 2020 Hockey NSW Regional Challenge, local hotels are set to experience another welcome turnover of business.

The event is set to attract around 3000 youth competitors, spectators and volunteers in what is considered to be the largest junior event on the Hockey NSW calendar.
Littomore Hotels and Suites is within close proximity to the Cooke Hockey Complex, and director Amy Gao said weekend sporting events are always productive for the business.
"We're often busy during weekends where there's a major event on, and we always welcome the extra business," Ms Gao said.
"Bathurst has so many desirable facilities for large scale events, and we'd love to see more come to the region."
Littomore Hotels and Suites, situated on Charlotte Street, came into being last year as a merger of Charlotte Apartments and Governor Macquarie Motor Inn.
Property manager Swagat Thapa said the customers help contribute to the hotel's vibrant atmosphere.
"The customers are mostly friendly, and visitors play a vital role in keeping local businesses alive," Mr Thapa said.
"It's also nice to have a mix of local and visiting customers, as it keeps things interesting."
Ms Gao said the hotel's location and services allow it to be prepared for a wide range of visitors.
"All our rooms are of a four-star standard and with the Bathurst CBD only a short walk away, we're in a desirable location for most visitors," she said.
"In addition, each room has basic kitchenware, a work desk and modern furnishings for added comfort."
Mr Thapa said the business strives to ensure visitors who attend annual events in Bathurst are satisfied with their accommodation experience.
Bathurst is very lucky to have such a diverse events roster, and we want to ensure visitors return to our business every time they visit," he said.
"We want to make sure visitors feel at home during their stay."
