On July 1, 2019, Andrew Eliades passed away from complications after a two-and-a-half year battle with leukemia.
Now Rosanna's Street Food owner and Andrew's mother Rosanna Eliades and her sister-in-law Alessandra Eliades, alongside co-workers Maddison Agnew and Amy Squires will be raising funds throughout March before they dye their hair on March 29.
Ms Eliades said her son touched many people throughout his life.
"Two and a half years Andrew suffered through chemotherapy and he was in out of hospital," she said.
"He was very much loved by the people at Orange Hospital and his nurses and Doctor Doug Lenton, they were just amazing. They were all so good to Andrew.
"Wherever the money goes, as long as it goes to leukemia and saving other peoples lives, that's all that matters."
Ms Eliades said she's extremely proud of her son and the people he touched in his life.
"We love Andrew and we're proud of him. He fought so hard and he touched so many people," she said.
"You saw that at his funeral, with over 500 people at the church. Even his primary teacher and the nurses were there.
"We have our ups and downs. It's hard losing someone that makes you so happy."
While shaving head hair and beards are popular for the World's Greatest Shave, hairspray and hair dye are also a choice for participants.
"We'll be dying our hair all sorts of different colours. Maybe someone will go blue," Ms Eliades said.
The target is to raise $3000, but Ms Eliades said she'll be happy with whatever total is raised.
Cakes and slices will be available to purchase at Rosanna's Street Food throughout he rest of the month, with all money going directly to the fundraiser.
The four people participating in the fundraiser will have their hair dyed at Uppercut and Co Barbers at 10am on Sunday, March 29.
