And the man he thinks he could unite with in a Bathurst 1000 wildcard entry is the 2019 Great Race victor Scott McLaughlin.
It is the speculation that DJR Team Penske talent McLaughlin could race in the United States which has Power thinking a Bathurst 1000 wildcard could be a possibility.
"It probably becomes a bit easier - if McLaughlin comes over racing over here - to do a wildcard," Power told speedcafe.com.
"Because obviously he's not going to need to get up to speed if he went back for a wildcard at Bathurst.
"None of that has happened [yet], but I'm sure it would come up if he did end up over here full-time."

Power took part in the third round of the Supercars Allstars Eseries as a wildcard, seeing him contest three races at Mount Panorama.
He finished sixth, 11th and 10th across those virtual races and certainly enjoyed the experience.
"The racing is great in Supercars, you've got to be really smart with it and I really enjoyed driving these cars," he said.
The experience fuelled his desire to add his 2002 Bathurst 1000 experience, the former Indianapolis 500 winner revealing he had discussed a potential Supercars appearance with team owner Roger Penske.
"We've actually had that conversation," said Power.
"A couple of times I've asked him. But it's just tough. With my schedule, it would be really hard to do the miles that you need to do to get up to speed.
"They don't want to waste their money on someone who didn't get the right amount of laps and end up running at the back. What's the use of that? I understand their standpoint there.
"I actually would love to drive one, have the right amount of testing, and do it properly."
