So he, with some help from his own mum Emma, have spent the last few weeks making earrings, which Sonny is giving other kids, as gifts for Mother's Day.
He is hand-making the earrings out of polymer clay by kneading the clay into round circles then baking them and gluing them onto a base stud.
His Mum, Emma said the idea came about because of COVID-19, and kids not having the chance to make Mother's Day presents at school this year. They were particularly thinking of children of single mums, who may not have the chance to make a gift with schools closed.
"All mums deserve something on Mother's Day especially the ones that are basically doing the majority of the raising on their own, because it's tough work, Ms Watson said.
Sonny and Emma have enough supplies to make 50 pairs of earrings, but after putting a shout out on Facebook, think they may need more supplies!
"After the response from (Facebook) today, we already have 25 pairs going out. I'm currently sourcing more materials so we can make as many as we can, as I don't think they will go to waste."
