The district contains Bathurst, Orange and Dubbo, as well as other centres.
Of the region's 45 confirmed COVID-19 cases, 44 people have now recovered, while one person has died.
Western NSW Local Health District executive director of Aboriginal health and wellbeing, Brendon Cutmore, warned that while there have been no new cases since April 19, the region is not coronavirus free.
He said it was critical that everyone in the region continued to practise social distancing to minimise the risk of the transmission of COVID-19.
From Friday, May 1 virus restrictions were eased in NSW with two visitors now allowed to travel anywhere in the state to visit family and friends at their home.
While some people are rejoicing in the opportunity to visit friends and family, Bathurst couple Tracey and Glenn Phillips are among those who have decided to wait a little longer.
Meanwhile, across Australia, 6753 cases of the virus have been recorded, with fewer than 1100 still considered 'active'.
Nationally, 93 people have died from the virus, including 44 in NSW.
