With COVID-19 restrictions easing, BRAG felt it was a good time to open a pop-up store for Mother's Day.
Director of the gallery, Sarah Gurich, said the idea was in the works for some time, but it was unknown if there would be an opportunity to open the store.
"It was something I wanted to do and was starting to plan for a couple of weeks ago; it wasn't something we could do until there was an announcement that restrictions would ease," she said.
"... It just felt like a beautiful thing to do, to have a pop-up stall with some beautiful things you can get for mothers, who have been doing it really tough lately."
Gifts range in price from $10 to about $150, so there is something to suit everyone's budget, and much of it is local and handmade.
The range includes Laughing Bird aprons, bags and tea towels, scented candles by Wyck, Plastic Cactus earrings, lace-embellished homewares from Fullerton Designs, and hand-blown glass by Keith Rowe.
There is also cards, puzzles, scarves and jewellery, and designer ranges from F!NK, Dinosaur Designs and Florence Broadhurst.
"It is definitely unique. If you want a gift that you probably won't find anywhere else, then head down to gallery," Ms Gurich said.
The store will be open daily from 10am to 2pm up until Saturday.
Ms Gurich said people can walk in off the street or make an appointment.
Precautions will be taken to ensure the environment is safe, including making hand sanitiser available.
"We will try to encourage people to look, don't touch, and we will keep visitation to a minimum." Ms Gurich said.
Items will also be available to buy on BRAG's website.
BRAG members will receive a 15 per cent discount on all purchases.
