IT was more than eight years ago that Holy Camp Girl became the last winner of John Boserio's driving career, but now that mare is helping him succeed again.

Her first foal - Holy Camp Dillon - won in his first start for Boserio and come Wednesday night, the Bathurst trainer thinks he can repeat that success.
Boserio no longer drives and he took a break from training for around seven years before being lured back. But he remembered Holy Camp Girl.
He first drove her at West Wyalong in April, 2011 and won. So when he heard she had a foal, he paid attention.
"I used to train his mother years ago and actually when I was driving, I drove my last win on her [in 2012] before I retired," Boserio said.
"The bloke who owned him, I trained horses for him on and off for 40 years and I said to him one day 'If anyone gets rids of that horse I'll train him.'
"Anyway that other bloke who had him had a bit of bad luck, he galloped a couple of times, and Clive [Anderson, owner] said 'Do you want him?'."
The answer was "Yes".

Holy Camp Dillon won his first trial for Boserio and on May 17 at the Bathurst Paceway with Anthony Frisby in the gig, the three-year-old lived up to his $1.12 favouritism.
He showed gate speed, led and sprinted home in a 27.8 seconds final quarter to win.
"The first trial he came from one out and three or four back and he won by 10 metres and the other day he went to the front and won by about 16," Boserio said.
"He's a pretty good horse, he had a few little problems, but hopefully we've sorted them out.
"So he's got a fair bit of ability, we've just got to hope that his head is in the right place."
On Wednesday Holy Camp Dillon will go from barrier five at the Bathurst Paceway in the Barkers Butchery Pace (1,730 metres).
While not the easiest of draws and his rivals include Bernie Hewitt's Ally Rogan - a former Gold Tiara and NSW Breeders Challenge heat winner - Boserio has confidence in his new team member.
"He'll have to have everything go his own way, but he should be right, he should win again bar an accident," the trainer said.
Boserio will also have two-year-olds Hes Sweet and The Grogfather in action at the meeting. The first race of the program is set for 5.07pm.
