Bathurst's SES unit received a call at 6pm on Tuesday with reports that a tree limb had snapped and fallen and was partially blocking Eugenie Street.
"The crew quickly removed the tree from the road and taped it off, for council collection today [Wednesday]," SES crews said.
Data from the Bureau of Meteorology shows that the wind speed was a very mild 9km/h at 6pm at Bathurst Airport, but it had reached up to 37km/h earlier on Tuesday afternoon.
Meanwhile, other data from the BoM shows that Bathurst residents shivered through the coldest day of the year earlier this week.
