According to Weatherzone, mercury dropped down to a -3.1 degrees Celsius at 7.20am morning, the minimum for the day.
It was even colder if considering the wind chill factor, feeling like -6.1 degrees at 6.10am.
And with freezing weather comes frozen pipes and, for some, broken pipes.
Geoff Bennett, from Geoff Bennett Plumbing and Roofing, said he's had to replace a number of hot water systems in the past week.
Mr Bennett said people should be "vigilant" with where their pipes are to avoid them being frozen.
"Anything in the shady areas needs to be lagged as best as they can," he said
"We own the Brilliant Street Cafe and we were struggling with the coffee machine freezing in the mornings.
MAKING NEWS:
"We couldn't do business for a couple of mornings so I got an electrician in that came in and insulated the pipework.
"It goes on at a timer at about three in the morning, so that when the guys got there at five, the pipes have defrosted and the coffee machine is operational."
Instead of getting frustrated or doing something reckless, Mr Bennett said the best thing to do is be patient.
"You can't really do much about it," she said.
"Some people go and boil the jug and throw it on the pipe, which is the worst thing you can do.
"You've just got to be patient. That's all you really can do."
Wrapping the pipe in towels is another popular method, but according to Mr Bennett it may be no use too.
"The problem with towels and hessian bags, you've got to keep them dry," he said.
"It gets dewy at 6pm and it freezes at 1am in the morning, so you're better off not doing it because it's almost like an ice pack, when the towels get wet."
"You just have to be prepared for frozen pipes. Have your showers in the evening. Flush your toilets before you go to bed, so you keep that one flush for in the morning.
"Even if some people can set aside a bucket of water, just for things to fill up the kettle."
Bathurst has had some cold mornings of late, with a low of -2.8 on Wednesday, 0.3 on Tuesday, 2.3 on Monday, -1.3 on Sunday and .2 on Saturday.
