THE future is looking bright for Western NSW FC given what they have achieved in this year's National Premier Leagues 4 competition, but before their campaign comes to end Mark Rooke has one more request of his men.

He wants them to make their efforts reflect on the scoreboard.
So often Western has dominated large periods of games but not been able to convert that into goals, so that is what Rooke would love to see when his side hosts Granville Rage on Saturday.
While Western will narrowly miss out on the top four no matter the results of the final round, Rooke feels a commanding win would be a fitting note on which to finish.
"We are within a breath of absolutely giving it to it a team, giving some team a flogging, so I hope that's this week," Rooke said.
"Granville, it doesn't matter where they sit on the table, they are always a tough side to play against. So it's going to be difficult, but you could see in the boys' eyes [last Saturday] they want to finish well."
The match will be played at CSU's Diggings Oval, Rooke saying: "It's a good surface up there, so no complaints about that."
While Western did not make the finals as was Rooke's aim at the start of 2020, he feels his squad has set the foundation to do so next season.
"In a normal season it's top six and we're right there, so look moving forward we've got one game left and we'll certainly be going all out to make sure we win that and we end the season on a high," he said.
"It was a fantastic effort from the guys, I'm really proud of what they've done this year.
"But moving forward we are certainly looking to retain a bulk of the squad and add a few bits and pieces with Tommy Miller and Josh Brown coming back.
"For us as a group it is a fantastic effort considering where we've been, we're moving forward."
While the goal for Rooke's side will be to finish their season on a positive, for the Josh Ward coached under 20s this Saturday the mission is to extend their season.
Western's under 20s have won five of their nine games to go into the final round sitting second on the ladder. However, they must win in order to assure themselves of a semi-final spot as just four competition points separate them from the sixth-placed Camden.
"If Granville win in 20s then our boys could still miss out even though they are sitting second on the table and Granville are fifth," Rooke said.
"So it's all on the game for those guys."
The under 20s will kick off at 1pm and the main game at 3pm.
