The playground has been funded through a $111,550 My Community Projects grant after the school was one of three successful local applicants when the general public was asked to vote on their favourite project last year.
Bathurst MP Paul Toole said the playground would rejuvenate the garden gateway that is the welcoming point at Eglinton Public School.

"Major earth and drainage works have been completed and now the main focus will move to the bricks and mortar stage," he said.
"The construction of the welcoming path leading into the heart of the school will allow for a space for the community and students to gather."
Eglinton Public School principal Vicky O'Rourke said the once-barren courtyard was undergoing a major transformation.
"The new area will not only provide a new visual appeal for the school, but welcome and attract students, staff and the community as a whole," she said.
"With Eglinton also rapidly expanding, having this along with other community upgrades it will be great for the community."
Bathurst's other successful My Community Project winners were Café on Corporation and Bathurst Public School's Education App-etite interactive and educational garden.
