I want to bring up this issue again.
You have these do-gooders say that there really isn't an issue, but believe you me, there is.
I was in Bathurst on Friday and witnessed three incidents within 40 minutes.
READ ALSO:
In the first one, three idiots on scooters shot off from the footpath in front of Bathurst City Centre in Howick Street right in front of an oncoming car.
The driver braked and tooted the horn at them. The very last one stuck his finger up at the driver.
Twenty minutes later, the same three did the same thing in George Street, only to be smart and intimidate the driver a little by riding in the middle of the road. They were not wearing head gear.
It's not a joke and needs to be addressed before someone is killed.
The other incident was in the Coles shopping centre where two kids, one on a scooter and the other on a bike, were riding in the actual centre, doing wheel stands and tricks.
It only takes one little mishap for an elderly person to be knocked over and seriously hurt or for that stupid trick to go wrong and one of those kids to go through a shop front and be seriously injured or die from a severe bleed out.
Bring the ban, because when one of these kids either cause an accident or get injured, it will be too late.
And to all those do-gooders who think that it's kids being kids and parents who say my child is responsible, wait for the police to come knocking on your door and saying that your child has been hit and killed.
Or what about the driver who hits the child who has to go home and tell his family he has just killed a child.
They then have to live with this for the rest of their lives - and some would not be able to live with the fact they have killed someone's child.
Wake up to the fact that this is a serious issue and needs addressing sooner rather than later.
Every life matters, so act now before it's too late please.
