A GoFundMe page set up by Emma Barnes has raised $4980 for her aunty, Lee Barnes, her partner Chris Eather and her sons, Nathan and Beau, who lost their West Bathurst home to a fire on Saturday, December 19.
In addition, Glenray Industries received a number of donations through their head office in Howick Street throughout the week leading up to Christmas.
"We received some money and gift cards through the office, which I gave to Lee on Christmas Day," Glenray plan management coordinator Lisa Wood said.
"The family has secured temporary accommodation, and are waiting to hear back about a rental property."
Ms Wood also set up a private fundraiser among close friends, which raised $3145.
She said the community has displayed outstanding generosity in their willingness to support the cause.
"We've received a lot of offers to donate furniture and once the family secures a rental property, we should be able to furnish their place," Ms Wood said.
"The family had a good Christmas in the end, which is heartwarming to hear considering the week they've had."
