A MAN allegedly clocked at 150km/h on Conrod Straight has been stopped in his tracks by police who suspended his licence on the spot.

The 27-year-old will appear before Bathurst Local Court next year after being issued with a Court Attendance Notice for exceeding the speed limit by more than 40km/h.
Sergeant Ryan Baird said the man was allegedly detected speeding by police on Sunday afternoon.
"About 1.40pm on Sunday, Bathurst Highway Patrol detected a vehicle travelling at approximately 150km/hr on Conrod Straight on Mount Panorama," Sgt Baird said.
"The vehicle was stopped and the 27-year-old male driver was spoken to. He was issued a court attendance notice for the offence of exceeding the speed limit by more than 40km/hr and his licence was suspended."

The incident was one of two arrests by Bathurst police this week for drivers allegedly caught travelling at high speed.
Sgt Baird said at around 11.25pm officers from Bathurst Highway Patrol sighted an unregistered car on Gilmour Street, Kelso.
"Police attempted to stop the vehicle, however, the 45-year-old male driver from West Bathurst failed to stop and a police pursuit was initiated," he said.
"The driver allegedly reached speeds of 150km/hr before stopping a short time later. He was arrested by Highway Patrol officers who identified that he was a breaching an Apprehended Violence Order (AVO) and that he was a disqualified driver.
"The man was breath tested which returned a negative result, however, a roadside drug test returned a positive reading.
"He was taken to Bathurst Police Station where he was charged with the offences of Police Pursuit - Not stop, Exceed speed by more than 45km/hr, Drive whilst disqualified and Contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO. He was issued infringement notices for use unregistered vehicle, use uninsured vehicle and not pay road tax."
The man was granted bail to appear before Bathurst Local Court on January 25, 2021.
With New Year's Eve fast approaching, Sgt Baird reminded people police would be out in force patrolling streets, highways and back roads.
He said the message was clear; don't drink and drive, and always have a Plan B.
He also encouraged people to be mindful of COVID restrictions currently in place.
