The BP Award, one of the highest youth awards achievable in the Guides and Girl Scouts movement, is bestowed upon guides over the age of 10 who successfully complete three challenges in six assessment areas: promise and law, outdoors, service, guiding traditions, world guiding and patrol systems.
The junior equivalent of the award, for Guides between the ages of seven and 10, requires the completion of two challenges in the above categories.
Bathurst Guides acting district manager Lesley Buchan said although Guides had to adopt different approaches to their assessments throughout 2020, several youth members achieved the peak award for their age group.
"Emily Parsons and Jasmyn Nankervis completed the BP Award after they moved into the Senior Guides earlier this year," Ms Buchan said.
"Their awards were presented in front of their families at the unit's end of year pool party."
"In addition, Charlotte McCurley achieved the Junior BP Award while she was a member of 2a Waratah Junior Guides at the beginning of the year, and she has since moved on to the 2c Guides 10+."
Senior Guide Sarah Howes received the Queen's Guide Award in September, which is the peak achievement award for youth members of Guides Australia.
These awards teach the girls to challenge themselves.

Ms Buchan said Guides awards provide incentives for girls between the ages of seven and 17 to understand the importance of leadership, citizenship and serving the community.
"These awards teach the girls to challenge themselves, to use their time wisely, practice leadership skills, and work with others to achieve the goals they have set themselves," Ms Buchan said.
The Guides were unable to hold biscuit stalls or sell them door to door throughout 2020 due to COVID-19.
The biscuit sales raise funds towards new equipment, camps, outings and learning programs.
